Where does the data come from?
EDINET (金融庁), Japan's official corporate disclosure system, plus TDNet timely-disclosure filings (決算短信). Every row in every response carries a doc_id you can resolve back to the source XBRL filing, no scraped data, no third-party redistributions.
Can I switch tiers or cancel?
Anytime, from your dashboard. Developer is monthly, no commitment. Institutional is a custom contract, usually monthly, but we'll work with annual prepay if it helps your finance team.
What happens if I exceed my daily limit?
You get a 429 with a Retry-After header. We don't auto-charge overages on Free or Developer, the limit is a wall, not a meter. Institutional plans can have a soft cap with overage pricing if you prefer.
Do I get historical data on the free tier?
Yes, full multi-year financial history is on every tier. The paid tiers add the analytical surfaces (screening, signals, ownership intelligence) that compute over the same underlying data.
Is there a discount for academic / research use?
Yes, email [email protected] with your university affiliation and we'll set up a research key. We don't gate students from learning what's actually filed in Japanese capital markets.
